Tour 2 - Upper Floors of Casa Grande

Tour Two focuses on the architectural elements and vast art collection in the main house, or Casa Grande. Featured rooms on this tour include; the Doge's Suite , "The Cloisters" which are four guest rooms flanked by open walkways, the Library , the Gothic Suite which occupies the entire third floor and includes Hearst's impressive private suite, library and office, and the Kitchen . Tour duration is 1 hour and 45 minutes which includes the bus ride to and from the castle.

Tour 3 - North Wing of Casa Grande

Tour Three provides an overview of the construction and development of the Hilltop by contrasting the earliest guest house with the most recent addition, the North Wing. Tour duration is 1 hour and 45 minutes which includes the bus ride to and from the castle.

Tour 4 - Garden Tour

Tour Four not only concentrates on the beauty of the botanical gardens, but also provides a glimpse into some of the less familiar aspects of Hearst Castle. Tour duration is 1 hour and 45 minutes which includes the bus ride to and from the castle.

Tour 5 - Evening Tour
Adults: $30, Ages 6 - 17: $15
The Evening Tour is a special tour that allows visitors to experience the Castle at night as one of Hearst's own visitors might have. Available in Spring and Fall only, the Evening Tour features highlights from Tour One , Tour Two and Tour Four . Docents in period dress from the Living History Program and a newsreel shown in the Theater add life to the magnificent surroundings and take visitors back to the Castle's 1930's heyday.

The Evening Tour takes approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes including the bus ride to and from the hilltop. Visitors should be aware that the Evening Tour contains a large number of stairs.

National Geographic Film: Hearst Castle Building the Dream (included with Tour 1 ticket)

Hearst Castle - Building the Dream was produced exclusively for the National Geographic Theater, located at the Hearst Castle Visitor's Center. . Breathtaking original cinematography combined with vintage clips and stills from the 1920's and 30's allows visitors to experience the building and background of the Castle on a 5-story screen.
